Synopsis
The Mindset of a Teen
What is causing our teens to make bad decisions? Is it the influence of society? Is it pain they have experienced? Is it internal struggle? At early ages, our youth often have to make an array of decisions concerning education, relationships, finances and additional varying adult topics. By the time our teens reach high school, many times they have been through so much hardship that their decision-making abilities are understandably based in emotions. As a result, we often see young people who are disturbed, angry, confused, and hurt filled. How can this be? The Mindset of a Teen is a set of training materials aimed at helping students, educators, and parents. It focuses on some of the challenges our teens are faced with in today’s society. Education, self-esteem, acceptance, relationships, identity, decision-making, bullying and identifying norms/values are just a few topics that are addressed. This training leads readers to understand the root causes of the behaviors of our youth. Adults can no longer ignore their struggles. We must understand them in order to help them.
